Dan currently teaches at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire as a visiting drum tutor to students on the BMus Orchestral Percussion course, but also has some space available for bespoke drum lessons that are tailored to students of all abilities either on an in person basis (at Splinter Studios in Wednesbury, West Midlands), or online.
As well as his freelance work and a wealth of industry experience, dan has just over 17 years worth of valuable teaching experience working in wide range of educational settings including state schools, music services, further education, private schools, workshops and most recently, masterclasses, clinics, universities and music colleges. As a result of this, Dan has accrued a wide variety of material, teaching methods and expertise to help you work towards whatever goal you've set your sights on.
Whether you're a complete beginner looking to learn a new skill for fun, an advanced player looking to refine their skills and develop their musical vocabulary on the kit or a student looking to work towards taking drum graded exams, Dan will tailor lessons to suit you, your style and your skill level to help you develop in the most effective way possible.
Dan has a wealth of experience in helping students work towards grade exams in a variety of syllabuses including Trinity, Rock School and ABRSM and will equip you with all the skills necessary to achieve the results needed.
